in a nutshell...

i'm not sick. but have a shot every three weeks that makes it so i can't walk. i'd rather be sick than have that pain. but it only last about four days. and i'm not sick. so, i can't complain.

d&d johnson stayed with me all last week while bob travelled. i am happy to know matt has someone to cling to when i'm not around - he's become a 100% grandma's boy. it takes me a few days after she leaves for me to not hear "but grandma lets us..." this may be building a bond that wouldn't have otherwise been created without this experience.

bob and i went on our first getaway two weeks ago (thanks mom!). we didn't go far. but it was overnight. we haven't done that alone since the twinners have been born. it was badly needed. it ended with a trip to the barber and a shaved head. but i have an awesome wig to show for it.

my biggest complaint of the day is getting the courage to tell someone they don't have to give me a ride to chemo/radiation (because i seriously have so many people calling me everyday offering rides - so glad this is a complaint - that people love me).

bob and i gave a youth fireside last sunday. although humbled, i'm sure we were asked to speak because of our imperfections. but my husband, he's cute.

my boys like to snuggle in bed with me every morning. i love it. it might be my favorite part of the day.

i had been having chest pains. had an ecco and other tests done because dr thought it might have been creating fluid on my heart. the first positive "you might have this" scenario - nothing is wrong with my heart. yay! maybe we're turning a new leaf here at the johnson household. but, still need to find the cause of my gnarly six week old cough and laryngitis (you should hear me talk and yell - awesome).

i am going to girls camp for my church in just a few short weeks and couldn't be more excited!

things are good.
i'm happy.
my family is happy.
the elephant is here.
but he's our pet now.
we kind of like him and some of the changes he's brought.
we might be better off knowing him.
let's just hope he doesn't stick around that much longer.
